MRT-2275 Smart Charging

How does my MRT-2275 charge?

Your miTrail MRT-2275 utilizes smart charging modes, however, it is important to note that regular vehicle usage and charging are still necessary to prevent battery drain over extended periods of inactivity.

 Your MRT-2275 charges as follows:

Vehicle ignition off:  Power Saving Mode- In this mode, the MRT-2275 conserves battery power when the ignition is off. It reports once a day to provide important updates while minimizing battery consumption.

Vehicle ignition on: Backup Battery Charging Mode - When the ignition is on, the MRT-2275 focuses on charging its backup battery. This ensures the device has a reliable power source when needed.

Vehicle ignition is off but MRT-2275 battery drops below 30% - Combines charging when the ignition is on with monitoring the battery level. If the battery drops below 30%, the device initiates charging to prevent depletion.

Battery Longevity and User Responsibility: While the smart charging modes optimize battery efficiency, prolonged inactivity can still drain the battery over time. The device will charge its own battery if it falls below 30%, but if the motorcycle or vehicle's battery is not charged by its own mechanisms, it will eventually discharge.
