Troubleshooting my MVT-2020

If your MVT-2020 status is showing as offline or not working as expected, follow these steps.

Before troubleshooting – please make sure your device is in a location with good cellular coverage and good access to the sky.

  1. Ensure that the wiring is properly connected to the vehicle/asset battery and there are no signs of loose cables or corrosion on the battery posts
  2. Check for any obstructions that may be blocking the GPS signal, such as metallic objects or dense foliage.

  3. Turn on the ignition and verify the red LED illuminates and stays on
  4. If the red light does not illuminate, replace the in-line fuse with the spare provided in your original packaging.
  5. Turn the ignition on again and verify if the LED light now illuminates

    If the device still does not come online, please reach out and we can assist further. If you have access to another compatible battery and can try installing the device there, that will help us as well!
